Now in its eleventh year, Peachtree Road Farmers Market is a leader in the community. PRFM is the largest producer-only farmers market in the state. Producer-only means that everything at the Market has been grown, raised, or made by the seller, ensuring fair prices for both the vendors and the consumers.
The Market takes place on Saturday mornings beginning April 1 - December 16th and Wednesday evenings 4:30 -8pm April 19th – Oct 25th. Market is open rain or shine, in the event of bad weather we move the entire market inside The Cathedral of St. Philip. For Wednesday markets, if the heat index is above 100 degree we will move the market inside.
PRFM is a Wholesome Wave market and we accept and double SNAP (EBT/food stamp).
Both of our markets accept SNAP (food stamps / can process EBT cards) and double the dollar value.
- Here’s how it works:
- Come to the market information tent.
- Swipe your EBT card and receive twice the dollar amount in tokens to spend at the market (swipe $10 and get $20).
- Spend your tokens on delicious, fresh food and meet your farmers, vendors and neighbors!
Saturday we hold over 35 chef demonstrations scheduled for this season and 50 weekly vendors. Each week brings new produce, vendors, events, live music and fun!
Wednesday evenings, guests can find farm-to-table fresh meals to enjoy at the market or take home. Live Music, chef pop-ups and local breweries make it the perfect evening.
The Peachtree Road Farmers Market is proud to celebrate our 2017 Season of events, sponsors, programs and supporters.
What to Bring With You
There is a large free parking lot on top and a lower parking lot towards the back as well as tree lined neighborhood streets to park on. Please do not park in our turn-a-round lane or block entrances.
Pack your reusable bags
Help us and our vendors go green by bringing your own bags. For extra credit bring your reusable coffee mug.
While some vendors have the ability to accept credit cards through square up cash is still king of the farmers market.
Free water and sunscreen can be found at the Info Tent.
Bathrooms can be found inside The Cathedral of St. Philip.
There is green space to picnic and two playgrounds for younger children to enjoy.
When the weather is not too hot, well behaved dogs are welcome.
1. Owners are responsible and liable for their dogs. Dogs must be under control, on a short, non-expandable leash, and by the (adult) owner’s side at all times.
2. Dogs must be kept away from produce, plants, food products, and product displays. Items damaged by pets must be purchased by the owner.
3. Dogs must be socialized with other dogs and children. Barking and growling is not allowed. Aggressive dogs are not welcome.
4. Owners should be considerate of vendors and other guests – not everyone enjoys dogs.
Dog owners must clean up after their pet.
Management will request owners remove dogs from the market if the above rules are violated. Thank you for helping to keep our market safe for everyone.
Since its founding in 2007 by The Cathedral of St. Philip in partnership with Chef Linton Hopkins and his wife Gina, the Peachtree Road Farmers Market (PRFM) has become the city's largest producer-only farmers market (that means all items are sold by the farmer/maker, no re-selling). The early leadership saw that Atlanta demanded farm-fresh produce, meats, and dairy, and the community supported their solution with open arms and shopping baskets!
The market founders gathered together a network of producers supported by the Hopkins’ Restaurant Eugene as well as farmers, artists, and prepared food vendors brought together by The Cathedral, who also provided space, financial support, and the beginnings of PRFM's strong volunteer base—led by a professional manager dedicated to PRFM's guidelines in support of truly “good food” and hospitality. An inspiration for similar markets across the U.S., PRFM continues to grow in participation and attendance.
At the close of the 2014 season, the Hopkins' stepped out of their managing role as the market had grown into a self-sustaining success during its past seven years. They continue to support PRFM through their restaurants and enjoy it as a family.
Peachtree Road Farmers Market continues as a nonprofit organization housed at The Cathedral, enjoying the large shade trees, accessible bathrooms, easy parking, and popular playground of The Cathedral parking lot. Each season from April through December, the region’s best farmers, artists, and prepared food vendors delight PRFM shoppers, who also enjoy chef demos, kids programming, and special events related to good food and good health!
